A secluded cove with a sandy beach, surrounded by limestone cliffs and lush greenery, offering a tranquil atmosphere and picturesque views of the English Channel.
Whilst walking the IoW Coastal Path, options come along to visit 'hidden gems'. This depends on the flexibility of your personal timetable, or that of Southern Vectis. My final section was from Chale Church to Freshwater Bay. An early start gave me just that flexibility. The low tide times also provided the opportunity to walk along the various beaches, where steep wooden steps provided access. In some locations it's possible to walk along the beach between the steps. But, I chose to return to cliff top each time. A big plus on my walking day was the weather. The lighting was good for photography too. Not forgetting the absence of tour coaches.
Shame the beach can no longer be used due to no access.
An incredible piece of coastline with outstanding views towards the Needles and Blackgang Chine! You can just chill listening to the sea and watch the sunset until the stars come out in a recognised dark sky location!
