I had a great visit to Attenborough Nature Reserve! The views are beautiful, and the walking paths are easy to navigate. I enjoyed seeing the different birds and wildlife. It's a perfect spot for a relaxing day outdoors. Definitely recommend it for anyone who loves nature!

Quite a nice walk around the lakes, small forest area and a good cafe that serves breakfast, lunch and coffee. Some of the paths are a bit narrow and the main map is a bit confusing- may have you wandering off to the main road. Lots of blackberries around when I went, take a carrier bag/ box and get grabbing

Second visit, nice walk around the reserve however we weren't aware of the bridge closer therefore we had to turn around and come back, a notice at the beginning of that particular trail would have been helpful! Food in cafe was good but only given 3 stars as the staff wanted to charge me for additional pot of hot water which I think is unacceptable given we didn't want milk with the tea and PS3 for a cuppa is on the pricey side!

Fantastic nature reserve that feel like it's far away from the city, even though it's right next to Beeston/Chilwell. Excellent short, medium and long distance circular walking routes. Good car park, which is free to Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust members, but can be full at busiest times. Excellent nature centre with cafe, shop, exhibition space, toilets etc on an island in a lake.

Stopped off at the cafe first and had iced coffees and paninis over looking the water, was so relaxing and beautiful. Food and drink was fairly priced. Afterwards we went for a walk around the reserve it's self. Plenty to see and path ways are well marked and clear of rubbish. Would highly recommend trying to go in the week, as it can get busy at weekends.

A Tranquil Escape with Birdwatching Delights This nature reserve offers a calming and scenic escape, perfect for nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers. The well-maintained walking trails provide a chance to immerse oneself in the tranquility of the surroundings. While the abundance of birds and the natural beauty of the reserve are undeniable highlights, some areas could benefit from improved cleanliness and maintenance. Occasional dog waste and overgrown weeds can detract from the overall experience. If you're a keen birdwatcher, you're likely to spot a variety of feathered friends seeking refuge in the reserve. However, a bit of additional maintenance could significantly enhance the visual appeal of this natural sanctuary. Parking: Free for 30 minutes, PS3 for the day (cash recommended in case the card machine is unavailable).
