Liked: Perfect for first time and easy camping. A relaxed experience in wonderful surroundings. The park offers so much for young kids to experience. Great indoor and outdoor play areas. So cool to sleep with the sounds of the exotic animals in the distance. When you want creature comforts the restaurant is great. Lovely staff! Very relaxed and welcoming family run business. Disliked: Pitch area is not all level.
This place is incredible! We did the lemur experience, and it was super hands on. Very intimate experience with the animals. We were even lucky enough to get a mini feeding tour from the owner. He made our visit feel like a VIP experience. I wish I could give my life savings to help support this amazing facility. They truly care for their animals. It's a must visit
Fantastic day out! Been coming here for years, there's always lots to see and learn about. The petting zoo area was a lovely touch this time and my children got to hold a snake, which was very cool. Loved the wee chickens and hens free roaming about the place and the walk up to the view point is worth it on any day! The cafe has changed a lot over the years and is now very overpriced and understaffed so don't bother, bring your own stuff and enjoy a picnic in a beautiful location!
Liked: Very relaxed couple of days away with kids and friends. Campsite was great. Wildlife park excellent. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Kids thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Nerf party was an unexpected bonus. Indoor soft play and outdoor play park were also a hit! We'll definitely be back!
The animals seemed very well cared for and the young children I came with ( 2 & 4 years old) really enjoyed their visit especially the meerkats and the petting area. One thing that I didn't like was when I bought a couple of cans of soft drink I asked where I could recycle the empties and was told to just put them in general rubbish. I feel you can do better on that front! But overall a nice place especially for young children.
Liked: Value for money, with 3 adults and 3 children with a single Pitch, it enabled us to go and visit the adventure park. The amount of animals was very good. Camping area was spacious and not over crowded. Well kept. Overall a good location would use it again. Disliked: Not a dislike just an observation. They could do with a water point closer to the pitch area. A small shop that sells basics like milk and butter would be a good addition to the facility for campers who may have forgot small items as the nearest shop is 10 minutes away.
