From 1 April onwards our opening times are 10 am - 5 pm seven days a week. Check the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority website for the most up to date opening times. We have an all-terrain wheelchair (also known as a tramper) which can go to the upper and middle falls. A tramper can be used off-road and even on rough ground, mud and grass. It enables people who have difficulty walking, who are less able, or who may be disabled, to experience the countryside and to accompany friends and family when out walking. You can book the tramper through the Access to the Dales website or you can call the centre to reserve it.
Beautiful place. It was clean and peaceful. The waterfall views has 3 levels. I recommend you should start from upper level then go for middle and lower levels but choice is yours. Picnic area is available in upper levels. Parking is PS3.50 for 2 hours or PS5.50 all day. Parking places are sufficient but weekends gets quite busy.
A lovely walk to see the falls, both upper and lower. You're able to walk up the to the water and watch the water flow. Very enjoyable and peaceful. Plenty of parking, but can get busy. Good pricing for 2hrs parking which is plenty enough to walk all around. Toilets are available and clean. There's also the visitor center and cafe inside. I'd certainly recommend visiting if you're passing by!
Wow just amazing being so close to all that water. Obviously there's been rain recently so levels was up. Recommend the longer walk down to lower falls as you can get right down to them. So calming and restful just watching the water. The gelato ice-cream was delicious too. Toilet's, little gift shop and cafe too.
Really enjoyed our many hours at Aysgarth Falls and our walk to Lower Bolton Castle. We saw many curlews, oyster catchers and pheasant, but only one couple on the lower Bolton path. Very peaceful and tranquil. The upper and lower falls are spectacular. Lots of photo ops, lots of native wildflowers. Closer to the castle, we could have benefitted with some extra signs as the way was not heavily traveled (path was unclear). We did, however, meet some very friendly cows during one detour! A really nice few hours of easy walking.
Do not park at the top of the hill car park unless you're happy to walk the steep hill, keep going to the main car park. What a magnificent place to visit. My daughter has a few mobility struggles but managed to walk the distances as they were fairly flat. The lower falls have steps so I wouldn't recommend for non mobile or wheelchair users. The path along the forest is suitable for wheelchairs though (see photos) The gift shop and cafe were lovely, we all enjoyed our time here.
We had a lovely day at the falls, the middle and lower falls are easy to get to and we spent a few hours with the kids playing in the lower falls they loved it. The upper falls are not as much of a climb as I thought they'd be pretty accessible for most. The staff at the visitor center are really helpful and we had some lunch at the cafe too which was lovely
