A 4-mile stretch of sandy beach, backed by a promenade and picturesque town, offering calm and clear waters perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports, with the added attraction of a historic pier and a range of amenities and activities.
Such a lovely sandy beach. Loads of space, even when busy. There are lots of small, local shops nearby and bigger stores like CoOp, so getting food or supplies isn't an issue. There is a nice little arcade with a few rides right on the seafront, which is perfect for kids. We had a wonderful time here
This is one of the last seaside resorts in the UK to be unspoiled by closed shops and the usual other problems that are currently affecting other resorts. The beach is clean and you can see that this little resort is trying hard to stay alive. The backdrop scenery is stunning, Well worth a day visit or long weekend to use as a base to explore Wales
A lovely beach front with plenty to do and see not sure where the nearest fuel station is as I haven't needed to hunt for one. The town could do with a few more EV chargers at affordable prices. Lovely beach and harbour and good pay and display parking or pay by phone. Which is a common theme in wales. As is the lack of good clean toilets, I would happily pay attendants price for a maintained toilet. Fell in love with Barmouth in the 1960's when my parents took me.
Lovely sandy beach easily accessible from town ,plenty of parking close by .Good selection of cafes and shops nearby also. If your make way towards harbour there's a small(8 person)boat acts as ferry across estuary where you can catch Fairbourne narrow gauge train, weather was lovely so that helped
Lovely place, stunning beach with fluffy dunes. I love the fact it was so dog friendly! Shame the water was icy but it was May after all... although many people didn't mind it at all
Lovely beach, nice and clean. Blessed with good weather when we went, but had the feeling of a traditional beach resort in the UK. Well looked after Barmouth Donkeys and miles of sand for dogs either side of the No-Dog area.
