40 acres of open space with Lake, Cafe, Adventure Play Area and Sand Pit, lakeside Camping, Kayak and Paddle Board Hire, Free Car Park, Public Toilets. Look out for the visiting Funfair, Circus, or community events which are held at the Park from time to time ... Perfect for walking the dog , kicking a ball around, flying a kite, Crabbing with the kids for hours of simple pleasure. Unfortunately we cannot permit the use of motorbikes on the land at Barton's Point. Likewise, we cannot permit fishing or any motorised vessels on the lake.
First time here and it was great, a really nice few hours from home, fairly good parking, peoples enjoying themselves kayaking and paddle boarding in the water, a sand park for the children, the boat house cafe for a little pizza, milkshake, ice cream and toilets nearby. All this amd it still felt very peaceful and relaxed. I'll definitely be back!
A brilliant place to learn paddleboarding. Only downside is the quality of the water is pretty poor. Fantastic free hot showers to use though if you do fall in. Don't forget your wash things!!
Beautiful canal/lake tho needs a bit of a clean up. The cafe is temporarily closed. Free parking, can kayak etc in lake. Great place for dogs. Plenty of greenery for them to run around
This is a great little place, you can take all sorts out on the water at around PS5 per vessel. The Cafe is great, selling a wide range of food but the site doesn't mind you taking a picnic. People seemed to respect the surroundings which is great, no litter or random dog cr*p around. Dogs must be on a lead at all times. There is a campsite as well right by the water that sectioned off away from the Day time public visitors. Kids play area and also not far at all from the Sea as you can see from the pictures + Footage here:
Easy to find with Free parking, today we visited the Miniature ride on railway,5in Gauge. There were also Model boats sailing and nearby a Model Aircraft meeting with flying displays. Also visiting was a portable Garden Railway Group Layout from Gravesend Model Engineering Society.
Lovely place to visit. We recently visited in the evening and we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. Lovely walk and a play area for the children along with a great sand pit area with a sunken ship climbing frame. Definitely recommend a visit.
