Opening day for the Highland games at battery park was a must see on my list and it was worth the trip. The events were spectacular. The park had an assortment of food vendors and plenty of accommodations.
Large public park with lots of space on the grass area for the likes of football and picnics. There is plenty of parking and public toilets which are nice and clean. Amazing views across the clyde. There is a notice boad detailing the different walks/ length of routes if you want to track your miles. There is one large play area with sand and a smaller one on the opposite side of the Battery Park.
Visiting the area and love getting my steps in before breakfast. Great walk from the Campbell street side of The Esplanade over to the Battery Park. A couple of rounds of the park and back along The Esplanade. Lovely to see so many folks out in the morning for a run, walk or playing with their dog. There was an organized kids run on this morning. Lovely to see all the happy faces participating.
