Lincolnshire attraction with over 60 owls and birds of prey, plus falconry displays, experience sessions, animal adoptions, gift shop and more.
We booked tickets for the summer night flight at Baytree owl and wildlife centre. What a fabulous evening and I would like to thank all who arranged and provided such great entertainment. The falconers were knowledgeable, passionate and humorous in their presentation. Halfway through the presentation a decent, basic meal was provided, with tea and coffee. The second half was followed by a walk around the birds enclosure and a chat to the falconers. A great evenings entertainment at an incredible price. We can't wait for the next event.
Always a lovely few hours out enjoying quality family time! Love watching the birds of prey display. Then we went to the cafe for lunch. omg, it was amazing food.
This place is brilliant tucked away in the baytree Garden Centre, which in itself is a day out. The owl sanctuary is a lovely compact place to visit the owls and other birds are well looked after we visited during half term holiday so there is a bird flight display at 13.30 everyday only on weekends outside of school holidays I believe. All staff we interacted with friendly and knowledgeable about the birds and wildlife in their care. The flight display was a brilliant educational and informative 45 mins telling you lots about the birds they were displaying. In short this is a brilliant place to visit, added with the massive garden centre including lunch in the restaurant we spent 5 hours here.
Came here during the week, the place was quiet but there were many different types of owls and birds of prey to see with alot of info. Located inside the garden centre, a good way to spend an hour or two, a shame we didn't see the show as the kids would have loved it as it was still term time .
We've seen flying displays at zoos before, but we were really impressed by the one at baytree. I think its perhaps the most informative one we've been to, lots of variety and very interesting. We learnt alot to take away (no one has ever explained the yellow/orange/brown eye colour before so my boy really enjoyed learning that). It was really nice to see how much passion the staff have in caring and training the birds as well, you can tell this is more than just a job to them. As well as the birds, the baby fox cubs were also very cute! We'd fully recommend this, lovely few hours out.
The birds are so well looked after. The demo was very informative and i loved the baby owl who I thought was the star of the show!
