215-acre nature reserve featuring picnic facilities & a visitor centre with a cafe & gift shop.
Lovely open space, a wooden park area at the beginning, deer to see as well. We walked through the lovely big meadow would recommend for a nice walk, lots of nature, bugs, flowers to see. Toilets in visitors building a short walk. Just be aware parking does get busy on hot weekends/school holidays may need to park near bushes.
What a lovely place. Saw wild rabbits, wild deer, deer in enclosure. Endless bluebells. Beautiful woodland as well as benches in the open spaces. Amazing views and coffee form a cafe.
Popped in to kill a couple of hours, having never been before. I was really surprised. Lovely grounds, beautifully kept, and a pleasure to walk round. The deer enclosure in the middle was a pleasant surprise. The cream on the top was the cafe. Staffed by a super group of ladies who were very pleasant and supplied me with a superb fruit cake and coffee. All on all, a great place and well worth a visit.
Awesome walk pre lunch, nice pathways through fields and forest, even deer as well
A wonderful green space that used to be the estate of a long-demolished manor house. It's a mix of open grassy areas, wooded/foresty trails and grazing land for cattle, with a lake and waterfowl. Very easy to navigate and great for dog walks (although you'll need to keep dogs on lead for some sections where there are livestock). The visitor centre and cafe is very convenient, and if you're lucky enough to visit during open hours, the Walled Garden is absolutely incredible!
The park offers ample open green space that is perfect for kids to run about and enjoy. Parking is convenient and well-organized, making it easy to access the park. However, the kids' play area could benefit from better maintenance. The play equipment is quite dated and worn, but still usable. The main issue is the excessive amount of dog fouling throughout the park. It's important to keep a good lookout to avoid stepping in it. Overall, it's a decent park, but it could use some improvements.
