This stunning headland, with its iconic lighthouse and Napoleonic Fort, is surrounded by water on three sides and offers exceptional views across Torbay and beyond. You can enjoy some superb coastal walks, spot wildlife on land and at sea, or simply relax in the award-winning Guardhouse Cafe. Our Visitor Centre will tell you all about the Reserve, its history, wildlife and the work of Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust. Do check for opening times during off peak season.
Amazing place. My partner and I live in the area from few years now but we never been in here. The place is calm, huge and breathtaking. There is a look up point of all the Bay (Torbay) really spectacular. It is ideal for whoever want to do hiking. There is a little coffee and lots space for dogs. We left the car close by the residential houses and walk to Berry Head but there is parking close by the place. We have a long walk and it took us half hour each way but I recon you can reach the place quicker then half hour. On the way there were plenty of birds: wood pigeon, robin, pheasant, magple, crow.. etc Same of these birds were happy to come close to us as we were passing by. This place could be ideal if you looking for same peace, calm and of course a View.
Absolutely stunning place to visit and walk. Lots to see and things to come across on your way. The views are spectacular as you can see in photos. Plenty of places to stop, eat, drink or have a picnic. There are plenty of carparking places to find, some have pay and display areas. Definitely recommend
We had a lovely walk at Berry head and the views are beautiful. There is the guardhouse cafe if you get hungry for snacks or meals. It's dog friendly. Well worth a visit and we will definitely be going back.
