An absolutely stunning garden - so beautiful and peaceful! I visited for the first time and was warmly welcomed. I was wearing my sunflower lanyard, and particularly appreciated the care that the member of staff took to tell me about access and places to sit in the garden. The planting is wonderful, Beth Chatto was clearly a visionary in terms of working with the climate - for example the gravel garden is never watered. A great selection of tempting plants to buy and a lovely tea room. I hope to return again soon!
Beautiful gardens. Large water garden. Wooded area. Very good tea room selling a variety of sandwiches, cold foods, and lovely cakes. Hot and cold drinks are available. Toilets were clean and modern. There is a large plant sales area and a gift shop.
I've visited this garden a few times but this was the first time I really appreciated the genius of landscaping and planting. All the books put Sissinghurst and Great Dixter on a pedestal but the fluidity of these different areas and how they are blended so seamlessly is a thing of joy. The garden centre features a wide range of perennials and there is a small cafe and gift shop. I appreciated the range of concessions on entry too.
A stunning place to visit. So a peaceful, relaxing garden with a cute cafe shop with delicious food and cakes. I enjoyed every second of it. Definitely will visit again.
Visited the gardens as part of a Year 1 class trip. We were warmly greeted by the two members of staff who led the group through all the activities during the day. They were fantastic. The gardens are beautiful and very well- kept. Well worth a visit.
Gardeners will come away with many new ideas to address climate change with appropriate plants and care. Includes an excellent nursery with detailed planting instructions, fotos.
