Open all year, Bewl Water offers a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities. From boats to bikes, camping, aqua park and laser tag, Bewl Water offers activities for all ages.
Nice place for a walk or for water sports. It is more developed than we expected, with play areas and adventure parks, boat hire and group activities. The cafe provides meals as well as tea coffee and cakes, plus it is licensed to sell alcohol. Seating inside and out with good views. Buying a parking ticket (PS5.30 for the day) includes access to the general areas. Activities are extra of course. Payment by App only on Ringo, so make sure you have App loaded before arriving to save your data allowance. We walked along the water side. Paths were just gravelled, and ordinary shoes would be ok, but walking boots would be best. Good number of benches along the first couple of miles, can't comment on the rest of the 12 mile path round the reservoir. The path was mainly through wooded areas, so nicely shaded for hot sunny days. We were pleasantly surprised how nice it was.
Large beautiful reservoir and incredible landscape, it's one of our go-to place for outdoor fun. Roughly 6 miles to walk around the whole lake through the scenic flat pathway, although the road can be very muddy in wet days. The bewl water cafe makes incredible deluxe hot chocolate which my kids love the most. It's dog friendly and cycling friendly.
Lovely place to come with the family for a day out, plenty to do with cafe/toilets and everything you need near by. Parking is charged at PS7 for the day with plenty of spaces. You are able to swim in the waters but just beware of all the stones as it can be quite hard/uncomfortable to walk on.
If you are not a member you can only sit in one area, can't swim or engage in water sport activities, even for that you should bring your own equipment. But the view of the reservoir is amazing. And you can make a picnic spread. Toilets are available and a coffee shop is in hand.
Visited the activity centre recently for a work day out. Great fun had by all. Friendly helpful staff. Great facilities. We did canoeing, team building games, and activities in the woods, including axe throwing. Wonderful memories were made.
Good 20km walk around the reservoir, recommend for a sunny day. Will come across quite alot of other walkers/cyclists on trail.
