Small heritage museum and signal box on the old railway line between Barnstaple and Torrington. Keep an eye on our website for occasional dates when the train is operating. Unfortunately due to the museum being in a heritage setting disabled access is currently limited but work is currently being carried out which will make parts of the site more accessible in the future. Opening times are a guide, if Toon Station Refreshments is open then we should be open too.
Brilliant railway museum and so informative of how Bideford became a holiday destination.A cafe is in a carriage at the actual station that overlooks the river towards the town centre also you can gain access to the original signal box.A bicycle track also runs alongside the railway.Well worth a visit.
A fantastic little spot. Beautiful river views and friendly service.
A step back in time, with this well kept slice of history
The Heritage Centre has been totally restored over the past 12 months. The Museum is open 10am-4pm daily which includes "Tea On The Train" which serves wonderful refreshments. The Museum is based in the railway parcels van and the Signal Van - both are open and free!
My son loves it here. Friendly warm welcome. We visit often.
One of Bidefords little gems, definitely worth a visit. It's kept looking lovely by volunteers and new members and volunteers are always welcome. I would recommend anyone to stop and have a breather here when passing through on the Tarka Trail.
