Returning from Anfield after witnessing our beloved Liverpool play & defeat a very well disciplined Rangers side, we nipped into Glenbuck to say "Hello" & "Thank You!" to the great & fellow Ayrshire man who made LFC the club it is today. Forever remembered & cherished. Bill, YNWA
Very moving place to visit. Nothing left of the village the great man was from, only information boards telling if what was once there.
Very emotive location, amazing to think this was a thriving mining village not too long ago. Pretty much nothing left of it now ! Lovely memorial to the great Shankly in the village he was born. Should be an essential destination for all Koppites
Bit out of the way, sure it's a pilgrimage to those from Liverpool. Part of the village Glenbuck. Nice walks around the area, dog friendly. Worth the drive.
