Birdland Park and Gardens, in Bourton-on-the-Water, is home to one of the largest collections of exotic birds in the UK. Located in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds, the park's magical combination of woodland, riverside and gardens makes it the perfect day out. Meet over 500 birds including birds of prey, large cassowary and rare species like the Waldrapp ibis. Spot flamingos, pelicans, cranes and waterfowl that live in our riverside habitats with many more inhabiting over 50 aviaries. See England's only breeding group of king penguins and the comical Humboldts.
Birdland Park and Gardens is a great spot for a family day out. The selection of birds is impressive, with both large and small species in well-kept habitats. The Jurassic Journey is a fun walk through the nature reserve, adding a bit of adventure to the visit. The highlights for my three-year-old were the penguins, the flamingoes, and the strawberry ice cream. The park is a perfect mix of education and entertainment, making it an enjoyable experience for all ages. I even made it through the gift shop without being pester powered.
A raining bank Holiday Saturday at Birdland and the weather didn't ruin the day, wear some water proofs and you'll be fine. The birds are around even though it's raining l, the cafe coffee and pastries are really nice. The the dinosaurs were loved by the young human! Highly recommend a half day trip here
Fantastic place. We spent an afternoon wandering around looking at an impressive variety of beautiful birds. They are well looked after in large aviaries. We listened to a keeper who was in charge of the penguins, talking about these well loved birds in a very comedic way, he was brilliant. All in all a great way of spending a few hours of your day.
Thoroughly enjoyed the park! The penguin and flamingo feeding and talks was very informative. So many birds to see. I booked tickets online, but there was no wait or queue to enter (visited on a Sunday morning). They have a cafe as well on site. There's ample parking next door to the park. Lots of cafes and restaurants, walking distance from the park. I think it's enjoyable for kids and adults alike.

One of the best bird sanctuaries I've visited. Even boasted Kingfisher(s), but not this day. Aviaries are more natural looking with well grown foliage. Manageable distances but my photography needs work. Some unusual species. Pleasant cafe but you'll need to queue. We'll stocked shop with the usual tourist trinkets. Worth repeat visits. Car park adjacent, very handy. (Unfortunately, though it boasted 8 chargers, 7 were out of service and, of course, the 8th was in use. Unusual for Connected Kerb). (Co Op had 4 ,all in order). Very busy in town. Long time since I've seen children paddling.
