This 240-acre park is a masterpiece of landscape design, featuring a large lake, walking trails, and plenty of green space for picnics and relaxation. The park's design was influenced by Frederick Law Olmsted, the famous American landscape architect, and it shows in the park's naturalistic and romantic style. Visitors can rent boats and enjoy a leisurely ride on the lake, or take a stroll around the park's many walking trails, which offer scenic views of the surrounding countryside. The park is also home to several monuments and memorials, including a stunning Gothic-style monument to the park's founder, Frederick Gardner. With its beautiful scenery and many amenities, Birkenhead Park is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
This park is so underrated... It got everything 3 cricket pitch Football pitch Tennis court Open garden for picnic Ponds Calm walkway Coffee shop Cycling space Jogging track Many more. Perfect place for a day out with family and friends. We did BBQ party with my friends. No alcohol allowed.
Just an amazing historical and stunning park, that is kept beautiful. Everything you could need for a fabulous day out, for all ages! Brilliant cafe with clean toilets and positioned like a sun terrace on sunny day, so can bask in sunshine outside. Since discovering this jewel, can't keep away and love showing it off to others!
Went here today on quite a sunny day. I've been to Birkenhead a couple of times and this is the first time I've been in this park. Very spacious with its wide cycle lanes and public footpaths. A great place to just get away and wander. It also has a visitor centre.
Big and beautiful park. Also very historical. A great place for walks, picnics or days out with the family or dogs. There is also a lovely cafe in the park with nice food and a great atmosphere. There are also lakes in the park and plenty of beautiful wildlife. Would highly recommend
Visited this park and I was slightly disappointed. I was expecting more due to what I heard about it. However it's kept fairly clean. Noticed its used by the locals alot.
Walk in the park with fellow colleagues from The 6th Form College as part of Well Being Day. We were lead by a Park Ranger giving us a talk on the history/facts about the park. A lovely place to visit, for stroll, visit the cafe & enjoy a coffee & a slice of cake or a fabulous ice-cream
