This picturesque spot on the north Norfolk coast is home to a large colony of common seals, with hundreds of them inhabiting the area. Visitors can take a boat trip to observe these charming creatures up close, watching as they bask on the beach, play in the water, and even come ashore to investigate their human admirers. The seals are most active during the summer months, and guided tours are available to maximize the chances of spotting them. The surrounding area is also a haven for birdwatchers, with a variety of species calling the coastline home.
A lovely spot on the Norfolk coast, we stayed overnight in the Manor house hotel. In the car park there is a seafood cafe where we had lovely crab sandwiches and a nice gift shop. After the day trippers had gone I went for a walk around the village and the coastal paths, beautiful.
Really lovely place to visit. Great place to visit and get on a boat out to see the seals. We got on a boat trip at 10am which was perfect. There is a national trust car park PS6 all day parking, coins at machine or go into the hut to pay via card. You can walk from here into blakeney along the river which is really lovely. It's about 1.5 miles, 45 minutes walk. If you want to go into blakeney I would recommend just leaving the car at national trust car park and walking in as parking is limited in blakeney, especially if you go later in the day.
Lovely place to go, we had perfect weather which made it all the better. We didn't see the seals, we just went for a walk and the kids did some crabbing. The food vans are delicious along with the bakery and ice cream shop. Would recommend and go back!
We love visiting here for lovely walks and exploring the village. On our visit, we saw children catching crabs, painters doing the most stunning pictures, and plenty of boats. The car park was PS6 to park, which is expensive. Dog friendly place.
National Trust car park but run by Blakeney District Council so no free parking for Blue Badge holders. A bit expensive at PS6 fixed fee. Don't park here expecting to get a seal trip, they run from Morston Quay. Ice cream shop is lovely with lots of good choice. Even has doggy ice creams which our Cockapoo Otis loved. Yes he is spoilt.
Beautiful place on the north Norfolk coast. Ideal for crabbing and going out to visit the seals at the point.
