This 12-hectare nature reserve features a mix of habitats including woodland, grassland, and wetland, providing a haven for a diverse range of wildlife. The reserve's trails take visitors through a variety of landscapes, including a woodland walk, a wildflower meadow, and a boardwalk over the wetland area. The site is particularly notable for its birdlife, with species such as kingfishers, herons, and water rails regularly spotted. Other wildlife that can be seen in the reserve includes otters, badgers, and various species of butterflies and dragonflies.
Nicely laid out park with healthy meadows. It's a shame the insect crash is closing in everywhere. We have left it too late
Very muddy small carpark. Would benefit from being a little larger and having the same surface as the disabled area.. otherwise a lovely area that we will visit again.
Lovely in the sunshine today but very muddy so wellies needed!
Great place to walk your dog or just get away from it all!
Lovely bit of countryside hidden just off limpsfield road in warlingham. It's quite a large nature area with a mix of grass areas, trees and ponds. A totally haven for wildlife. Every year warlingham hold their fair here. There's disabled parking but no other parking.
Back in 1991 my wife, youngest son and me were involved in a voluntary conservation group that slit planted 100's of sapling at this site. It was good to go back and see how it has developed. It is a lovely green space now with paths through the fields and small woodland. It is still maintained solely by volunteers and a good job they are doing. There are plans for a wild flower area which I imagine will be good in due time. It seems well used by dog walkers. It can be very muddy and there is not a lot of parking by the entrance but I am sure some the nearby roads are unrestricted. An all round pleasant place to visit.
