Gently sloping gullies and steep ravines, plus play and sports facilities, boating lake and cafe.
Filled with birds singing and you never know which bird you will see. One of the Herons, a cormorant or the many waterbirds. Peaceful and friendly.
Have been ill for a little while and have been encouraged to get out and have fresh air as tolerated, so came, to Boggart to stretch my legs & do as told. Nice stroll with friendly walkers.
I have been going to the clough for almost 50 years. It is a beautiful park and has lovely scenery. Although it is set in the middle of Blackley, it is a hidden gem. Great for long strolls or a good run, it has long paths but plenty if hills if you fancy a challenge. The lake is a great place to see some wildlife- herons, turtles, ducks, geese and swans; the lakeside cafe offers a comforting menu and the staff are very friendly - dogs welcome! We'll worth a visit!
Lovely place. Very clean especially for a public park. 2 nice fishing lakes which are gin clear. The cafe is very reasonable for a coffee (PS1.60) for a proper coffee) bacon butties cooked fresh and lovely, helpful staff and regulars. I'm actually a bit reticent about giving it a good review as it's so good I want to keep it to myself. Current fishing prices: Day ticket PS5 for 2 rods PS8 for three available from the cafe or the bailiff. Membership is also an option at a very reasonable rate. Enquire at the cafe for details.
Excellent place to visit whether you're wanting a picnic with the children, a walk with the dogs or some exercise! There are 2 play areas, 1 for older children, 1 for younger children, tennis courts, basket ball courts, football pitches, and bowling greens. There are lots of pram and wheelchair paths and some a little more off the beaten track if you like to explore. There is a cafe (closed when I visited) which is in a fenced off area with the pond and boating lake. Dogs must be kept on a lead in this area. There are loads of benches and picnic tables all over the park and plenty of bins. There is a small brook running through the park so dogs can have a paddle. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
Lovely open space, full of different animals, birds and nature. Lots of different places for a leisurely walk. There is a cafe, large pond and fishing facilities. Ideal for venturing on your own, families, bikes and fitness fanatics
