We booked to visit on 27th December and i tried to call in the morning to see if the event was still on, due to high winds. All phone lines were closed so we travelled 1 hour to get there anyway. Upon arriving we were told at the gate that the event had been cancelled. I'd not received an email, text, nothing and apparently it was only announced on fb (i don't follow Bolesworth on fb) My lil granddaughter was so disappointed she started crying and the whole day was ruined! However, we returned on 29th Dec and had a really nice day out ice skating. The fair was expensive, considering the high ticket price but very nice, with fire pits to toast marshmallows and the mulled wine was amazing. We walked the trail to watch the light show which was really spectacular. All in all we had a great time but staff need to improve on communication techniques.
Brilliant morning at Bolesworth. Thoroughly enjoyed by the children and adults. Jurassic Live, was an awesome, interactive event; very well put together, with realistic, life Size dinosaurs. Well done to all the staff. My nephew, hopes to do this again! #Jurassiclive
Magical Christmas lights! Brilliant! Amazing! We went on Christmas eve. Definitely recommend this place. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. The area for food / rides / ice-skating and drinks was fab, lots of choice, under cover areas (which most places don't have). The burgers were expensive which you expect but they were delicious. The marquee with the large screens next to the light show was amazing, was lovely to have a large space to sit and have a drink and was decorated magically. The staff were amazing and made the experience fun. The light trail was on the short side but what was there was magical and I'm sure this will improve with years to come, and we will definitely be back to watch it grow. Seeing the raindeer was amazing and they were in a place they looked snug & they were easy to see and admire. Next year we will try champagne Island. The ice rink was plastic but it clearly stated this when booking & I prefer not getting a wet bum when I fall. Bolesworth absolutely smashed it and I would give 10/10. We will look forward to seeing you next year.
OK went last night YES its expensive so here's a few prices just to pre warn you.dont like it don't pay it and don't moan about it on here later. A pint lager PS6 A cup of tea and I mean a cup PS3 each Burgers around 9 pound. Pizza around 12 pound. We had 2 pints and 2 teas so 18 quid Now different stalls are different prices they pay a stall fee and charge sensible and make a bit of profit but others charge a lot and make a loss. Don't like parting with money then take own food simple. Oh and enjoy the mud, lots of it all totally free
Cost a fortune to get in for the Christmas event (believe it was over PS100 for 2 adults and 2 kids under 7) and it wasn't worth the money if it was free. Santa gift for the kids was a pound land special
Well organised, Great weekend Festival. Happy place! Fantastic bands and acts playing in fun family entertainment. All for Children in Need charity. Great aisles of Food outlets hot and cold were really great. oh not forgetting the cars... droves of them.old ones, new ones fast ones, funny lookin ones and stunningly beautiful cars. Stalls of jewellery, clothes and crafts. Shame this year's weather was a down pour.... (sat-sun)ankle deep mud was a big turn off . Felt so sorry for all the people behind the scenes working hard to keep things going....can't wait for next year.
