Amazing place with an amazing, massive oak tree with a girth of 13.33 meters. Whilst this is not the widest oak tree in the UK, as often claimed, as it is surpassed by the Marton Oak in Cheshire with its girth of 14.02 meters, it is much more intact than that tree is, and has a much healthier crown. And I found it a lot prettier (although it is noticeably smaller than the Cheshire oak) The tree is hollow inside, and apparently it was used as a dining room in the past! Well worth a visit
