Really nice place, lots of activities, brilliant staff, loved the cafe and bar services. Find of the day was some Bedford Stout beer from the tap - haven't had any good stout anywhere in this region. Water is not muddy and that is a massive advantage over Willen Lake in Milton Keynes as this is purposely built lake work water sports.
Box End park. One side is the inflatable course and the other is water ski/water board sports. Lots of picnic benches. Has a lovely cafe. No eat in option but lots of space to eat at picnic tables. I had a toastie, which was delicious. Lots of choice. Public toilets. Lots of space to park and parking was free.
Great weekend at Rookie Rumble, nice facilities, good cable and plenty of plastic for all levels of wakeboarding. Looking forward to visiting again
Water play for all ages, the inflated assault course and the automated, awesome, water skiing rails, a sheltered seating area for families, dog friendly and 2 restaurants, plus changing rooms and amenities, a definite experience worth repeating. Relaxed atmosphere
We had a great time. I went on with my 12 year old son, and it was brilliant. You do need to be water confident, and don't expect to keep your hair dry!! The equipment is well maintained, and all the lifeguards were fantastic. Everyone was enthusiastic and dealt with anything that came up quickly and efficiently. We've already said we are going again.
Had a great time here wake boarding with my teenage son, the staff especially Jessie and Joe who were excellent. Will definitely be going again.
