This picturesque vineyard in the heart of Oxfordshire, England, offers wine tastings, tours, and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Visitors can explore the vineyard's beautifully manicured grounds, learn about the wine-making process, and sample some of the finest English wines. With its charming setting and warm hospitality, Brightwell Vineyard is a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxing day out in the English countryside.
A great 2 hour tour and tasting. Learnt a lot from the tour, giving great context to the vineyard and tasting. Great tasting of several Brightwell wines - Sparkling, Pinot Noir, Flint, Gold, Rose.
A lovely day out sampling beers, ciders and wines at the Thames Valley Wine and Food festival. Today (23/6/24) is the last festival day. Its not a large event, which has its plus points (ability to find seating, parking is good, stalls are not busy etc). The brass band that played most of the time was fitting for this venue. I think music blaring out of a PA system would have spoilt the event. Next time, I will take the train (Didcot train station is not that far away) as the wine sampling was left to my wife (she did not shy away from this task!). However, that did not spoil my day and nor did it stop me from purchasing some alcoholic drinks on sale to sample later! We also bought some chilli plants at the venue which we hope will provide some tasty (and very hot) produce in the near future! Would love to visit again, so will put this down as a reminder for next year!
This venue is absolutely incredible and an absolute dream wedding location. A blank canvas you can really put your own personal stamp on. Set in stunning grounds. An absolute photographers dream!
We called quite late in the evening and asked for a parking space. We were allowed to arrive very late and stay overnight. Unfortunately we were too late to go shopping. The owners are very nice and helpful. We'd be happy to come back and see if we can buy some wine.
A lovely vineyard in between Reading and Oxford. You must visit this place if you are wine lovers. Beautiful wines!
Going through an English wine and spirits phase. Ordered some lovely wine a while back - we loved the Pinot Noir. However, the Brandy was such a wonderful surprise. The first bottle from the 1st cask was smooth and quaffable - lasted seconds in my collection! However, the second - really exceptional, Christmas in every sip. Lovely how each cask has its own personality.
