A scenic rock formation located in the Peak District National Park, Brimham Rocks is a popular tourist destination in the United Kingdom. The rocks are a series of gritstone outcrops that have been eroded into a variety of unusual shapes, including towers, pinnacles, and arches. The rocks are surrounded by heather-covered moorland and offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Visitors can explore the rocks and moorland through a network of footpaths and trails, and the area is also popular for rock climbing and bouldering.
No better place to explore the outdoors, Brimham Rocks is a wonderful place for a family day out. The site is maintained by The National Trust and is free to enter. Car parking is available chargeable for non members (PS6.50 for 4 hours or PS10 for the whole day) Toilets, Refreshments and Gift shop all available.
An incredible family friendly place to visit! Some very unique rock formations which you can climb on and sit under making you feel like a child again. The car park is quite big but fills up quickly. We visited at a quiet time but I should imagine during school holidays it would be extremely busy so plan to get there early. As a family you could easily spend the day there. There are toilets and refreshments available too. Look out for the Jackdaws as they will be waiting to share your lunch
Had a great day out here with the family. There is lots of exploring to do in and around the rocks. I've been here many times and it always impresses me. Parking can be a bit tight on the road but sometimes they open the field up next to it and charge a reasonable price for parking here. Overall it's a great place to spend the day.
Gorgeous day at Brimham Rocks, weather gorgeous. Be ready for a reasonably long walk before you reach any loos or the cafe. Well worth it though, lovely ice cream!!
Always have a great time here, best place to go for a walk with kids as they can also climb, there is a nice coffee house to sit and have a picnic with ice cream.
Very interesting place with how many hundreds of millions of years it dates back, however it was extremely busy when we went so wasn't the peaceful dog walk we had hoped for. Lovely to be among so much nature and history but a bit too popular compared to the other historical areas we have been to around york
