The museum is free and it is a very enjoyable few hours exploring the exhibits. We paid for the Constable exhibition which was PS12 each, but they had a BOGOF offer which was great. We stopped for a drink in the cafe and they have some comfortable seating with tables.

Magnificent establishment with fantastic collection on Egyptian history,Animals,Dinosaurs and arts and sculptures . Taxidermy in its best on the exhibits. Especial feature Alfred the Gorilla. and Thylacine. Free entry. Great place to bring kids and lots of activities around the museum. Needs to pay for Constable in Bristol if you are interested in National treasures(see photo). Very helpful staff. Very informative descriptions. Worth spending and hour or so to cover the whole collection. Very central location.Ample parking in surrounding car parks.

Filled with history, geology, art, and what not! Very well maintained museum. There is a cafe on the ground floor and a gift shop as well. Went there on a weekend but there wasn't any queue. The location is very nice for anytime visit ( next to Will Memorial Building, University of Bristol/ and 10-15min walking distance from city centre ). Overall very nice place to visit.

One of the biggest highlights from my weekend in Bristol was a spontaneous visit to this museum. Amazing selection of art, ceramics and more. Lots of great themed rooms with some stunning pieces worth sitting and admiring. We spent a good hour in here but I'm sure you could spend longer. Could use a little more seating to relax, enjoy the artwork, and perhaps stay a little longer.

Went for the fabulous dramatic building more than the exhibits but there was a huge choice of subjects all of which are well represented. Great for both adults and kids. Small play area for bored toddlers, toilets and a cafe (although the food service is a bit slow). Highly recommend.
