Brixworth Country Park is a small countryside space, with recreational facilities, woodland walks, hard path trails, and wildlife areas. Our team of two rangers patrol the park, and the nearby Brampton Valley Way. We work on shift over 7 days, between 09:00 and 17:00. The Ranger's Office is located to the left of the public WCs, but as we have much to do in the park we are not always found there. For general enquiries please email [email protected] In the event of an emergency, please try our office on 0300 126 5932 for ranger support, if the emergency is life-threatening, please call 999.
We visited Brixworth Country Park on a Saturday morning. We arrived at about 9am and had no trouble finding a parking space. The view from the car park over Pitsford Water is amazing. The aim of our visit was to walk around the reservoir. We timed it a little wrong as there was a park run just starting so for the first part of the walk we were surrounded by runners but after reaching their turning point at 2.5KM we were on our own. It was so peaceful and the scenery was stunning. It is a lovely walk with a mix of waterside and woodland paths which are all accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. We enjoyed listening to the birds singing and watching the boats and paddle boards on the water. After our walk we headed to the cafe and had a delicious sausage roll and a lovely coffee. The facilities are really good, toilets are clean and lots of choice of food and drinks in the cafe. The parking charge was reasonable and anpr cameras make the process really easy. I would recommend to arrive early, especially when the weather is good or during school holidays as I would imagine it gets very busy.
We loved our short visit to Brixworth country park. it was a lovely walk. If you want a long walk I suggest you go round the lake as the 1.25km walk only took us 30 mins. It is quite muddy if it's been wet so good shoes are needed. Parking is PS3.60 but you can pay by card or coins. Cafe is also lovely and toilets are available. waymarked walk Great for kids of all ages!
Lovely 7 mile trail around the reservoir. We had a leisurely bike ride, and really enjoyed it. Parking was plentiful, but a little expensive at PS4
Managed to spend an hour wandering around this place, being 1 hour early after travelling 3+hrs for a meeting. Nice place to stretch the legs. Good facilities, cafe and public toilets. Great signposting all around. Most paths were fully accessible to all, although with some hilly parts. Kids play park looked good and well maintained. Impressed with the dedicated cycle routes along with clear signage when they interact with walking pathways. Shame I don't live nearby to revisit and explore properly.
Very nice, pecefull little spot with lovely views across the reservoir. Much nicer than the main country park as not many people know this spot. Nice and clean no rubbish. Dogs engoyed a swim on a hot day.
Changed alot since last went here. Car park now controlled by APN cameras which is good. Only issue was lots of cars not actually parked within space markings. PS2 for first hour parking is pretty reasonable. Cafe serving good coffee and ice cream!. Toilets very clean. Worth wearing good walking shoes if going on the main path round the co reservoir.
