This 137-acre park features a large lake, walking trails, and plenty of green space for picnics and relaxation. Visitors can rent boats and enjoy water activities, or take a leisurely stroll around the lake and enjoy the surrounding wildlife and scenery. The park also has several playgrounds, a skate park, and sports facilities, making it a popular destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts.
Lovely walk all around the total area. . Well run cafe. We avoid weekends since it's very busy at the cafe especially and because we're retired we can manage weekdays and non school holidays.
Really lovely lake, can walk around the park. Playground seems nice for kids. There's a cafe but haven't been in yet. It has an outdoor seating area looking over the pond. Plenty of benches.
It was busy as it was school holidays. Nice sitting outside looking over the lake. It was the afternoon and choices were limited as it had been so busy but what was there looked nice. Coffee was nice and the foccacia and the bun we had were delicious. Only one downside are the toilets around the back of the cafe! They were filthy, no soap, no paper. The sink was disgusting. Hadn't seen a cloth for sometime. We spoke to the chap in the cafe and he said the council was responsible for them and they aren't cleaned enough. Brooklands is a lovely place and what they have done to make it nicer is lovely. The kids park is amazing. The cafe and staff are lovely. Let's hope like so many things the council now don't abandon it!
Delightful park for an easy stroll around. There are two car parking areas. One via the coast road (Brighton Rd) and Western Road. Western Rd car park is adjacent to the excellent new cafe. Cash is still taken at the car parking ticket machine (no change given!). Monday to Sunday 8am to 6pm including Bank Holidays.
Amazing park, big lake and good walk to walk around. Also big park and big benches perfect for a family day out for teens, babies and the whole family.
I have been to this place quite a few times with my grandchildren and they love it, they have a playground area which is fenced off with a sandpit, roundabouts slides, musical things to play on. Zip wire, picnic areas keeps my grandchildren busy for hours you can also walk around the grounds go down to the lake to feed the ducks, swans or mostly seagulls. There is parking facilities and also a cafe there as well as toilets good day for young and old.
