A 250-acre amusement park featuring a variety of thrill rides, water rides, and family-friendly attractions, including roller coasters, log flumes, and a zoo, set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens and woodlands.
My first time going since they pumped some money into it I have to say it's a great transformation even though there are still some bits that require attention. The playground is now a great safe place to take children of various ages and abilities. It's a nice open plan space for children to run around safely. There is a designated trace for bikes which is great if you're teaching your little one how to ride. The walk around the lake is very nice a peaceful. The cafe is still under construction which meant there were no toilets available which is why we left in the end. Hopefully this will be addressd soon. Over all a great morning out and well worth a visit.
The old golf course at the back of Brooklands had been turned into a great dog walking area with loads of space for dogs to run freely and safely. The workers are in laying paths through this area more than doubling the size of the park. I was unsure at first, but it is looking really good. I just hope dog walkers are not forgotten. Looking forward to the new cafe.
Brooklands used to be amazing, the little train, play area, go karts and paddling pool. But it's all gone and has been for a while. What is left is an empty shell of a place. The lake is lovely, feeding the ducks is good fun. The park is terrible, every time we go more and more things get taken and not replaced. The grass is wild all over the place so you must keep to the tiny path. Perfect for dog walkers, but other than that I wouldn't bother visiting until the council spend a bit of money on the poor place.
We love coming here to walk our dog, although we have to drive as we live several miles away. There are 3 car parks and parking charges are due all week, but it is free for blue badge holders. The car park and cafe at the north east corner of the park are open and there are toilets located outside the cafe. We often stop for coffee and cake at the cafe and dogs are welcomed inside or out. To get around there are plenty of tarmac paths, which is great for anyone with mobility issues, There are steps at the south end of the lake but these can be avoided by taking a short diversion. Cormorants, swans, coots, moorhens and more can be seen on the lake and there is a boardwalk on the west side of the lake so you can get a closer view. For children there is a really good play area and this always appears to be very popular. Brooklands is also dog-friendly and is enjoyed by plenty of dog walkers. Recommended.
Fantastic new park. Lots of smooth paths around the pond, great for learning to cycle or scooting. Lots of nature to see. A vast improvement on what was previously on offer. The best park in the area by a long way
