Burnt Fen Alpacas is a family run farm, tourist attraction and teaching centre in North Norfolk. We have a beautiful friendly herd of around 40 alpacas who have been part of our family for over 20 years. We offer a variety of alpaca experiences and learning opportunities in a friendly peaceful space. Join us for our very popular alpaca trekking activity - Walking with Alpacas. Alpaca Yoga and Alpaca Cream Teas. As a textile artist I run regular textile courses working with alpaca fibre. I teach hand spinning, weaving and natural dyeing in my studio next to our alpacas. We hold an annual retreat, focussing on mindfulness, yoga, relaxation and creative workshops. Please check out our website. Hopefully see you soon, Annie and the Alpacas!
I have walked with Annie's alpacas three times now and every time is wonderful. I have come with various friends and family and they all say the same - that it is really fun, but also calming and absolutely therapeutic, as you always come away with a smile on your face and the whole experience 'lifts your spirits'. Annie is a lovely lady, who is so friendly and treats everyone as an individual, making sure that she matches you up with an alpaca that is ideal for you. The alpacas are absolutely adorable, quirky and hilarious, and the walk itself is leisurely and through fields, woodland and picturesque paths along the broad and across her land. Excellent value for money and would do it again and again, if I lived locally. Thanks so much to Annie and the lovely alpacas at Burntfen.
Had an amazing experience walking with the Alpacas by the picturesque Norfolk Broads. Ann was an excellent guide and Callum, Ewan and Douglas were very well behaved. Highly recommend this experience
While Holidaying just down the road in Horning, we decided to try alpaca walking. The experience was amazing and one that I would highly recommend. From choosing your alpaca, to walking and then feeding, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Annie who led the walk was a very good host, allowing everyone to enjoy the experience as much as possible. Special mention to Apache and his love of carrots.
We have wanted to walk Alpacas for a long time and done a lot of research as wanted to pick the right place to do it. If walking Alpacas is on your bucket list too, then Burnt Fen Alpacas is most definitely the perfect place to do it! We liked the fun idea of catching the Alpacas first, which was a great way to start our adventure. Annie was lovely, very friendly and welcoming and took the time to tell us about every single Alpaca. (46 in total I think!). We were lucky enough to see some very cute babies too. The Alpacas were so gentle, friendly and funny! I found myself in the middle of many conversations during our trek through the woods, that abruptly came to a halt when the Alpaca decided it was time to eat...again! I could go on about it all day long. It really was the best thing we have ever done and was such a calming, relaxing and enjoyable experience. I can't recommend it enough!! We will be back!!
Fantastic experience. Annie was so lovely. Even great fun on a wet and rainy day!
We had the most amazing afternoon tea at Burnt Fen. Annie introduced us to the alpacas and their young.Wonderful setting. The alpacas are friendly and inteactive. The scones are freshly baked straight out the oven. Recommend highly.
