Burrs Country Park lies on the River Irwell covering an area of 36 hectares of scenic countryside, one mile north west of Bury town centre. Burrs has been awarded a Green Flag. Burrs features a wide variety of different wildlife habitats - woodland, open space, wetland, ponds and waterways. The park is a great place to visit, an ideal spot for a range of activities including walking, fishing, picnicking, bird watching and nature study.
I really love Burrs park very much. So many amazing memories. Pub staff are helpful. Clean restrooms. The pub does amazing food and the ice cream parlor does amazing ice cream. I got a clotted creme ice cream which was full of taste. I love walking around this peaceful park. This is a day out in its self.

Great park, good for youngsters and family, walking, trekking, socialising, sightseeing, greenery, scenery or even enjoying THE BURY MELA!!
Stay in the caravan site by the park. It was a lovely area to spend a long weekend or day. There is a cafe and a pub in the park, as well as picnic table. Just before the park there is a playground and an ice cream parlour. On our last we found a lovely little walk behind the cafe and for train buffs there is the east lancs railway.
A great country park just outside Bury, great cafe and pub. Nice little wildlife, some sculptures, a playground, picnictables. And of course East Lancashire railway runs past too. Always great to see a steam train.
Nice Country Park with footpaths connecting both sides of the River Irwell. There are quite many different routes, and I could not find all sculptures. Will go again.
