Welcoming, warm and friendly, Bury Art Museum & Sculpture Centre is the perfect place to enjoy local and international art. Learn about the rich history of Bury and the surrounding area. The collections and exhibitions are supported by a range of activities and events. Home to Bury Art Shop and Tina's Tea Room. All housed in a distinctive Edwardian building that is a work of art in itself.
Its rather small so doesn't take much time at all to look around. There are some beautiful pieces of art to see and the building its self is really nice. Theres a tea room upstairs and a shop downstairs.
Great little art gallery with some activities for children. Nowhere near as family focused as Bolton museum however there is a cute tea room where you can get hot vimto's for PS1 and some old school games for the kids to stay entertained.
Loved the paintings. The small museum part is also worth visit.
Nice place, I took a service user with dementia and we had a wander round. It has some interesting things to look at although it is a bit sparse. The museum bit downstairs is good, there is a bit more to look at there. I have nothing to complain about though as it is free. The cafe is very nice and worth popping in to.
Amazing building with beautiful traditional and contemporary art...helpful staff and well worth a visit.
On a recent shopping trip we decided to have a walk around the back streets of Bury. We then came across the museum and art gallery. It's not full of exhibits but it's got some interesting ones nevertheless. The little tea room looked very nice as well. We might try this on another visit
