A rambling riverside beauty spot with an arboretum, Victorian gardens, friary ruins and a cafe.
We loved the open space to walk our 10,000 steps, seeing the Gorsedd stone circle, the Taff riverside, and loved seeing other people enjoy the open spaces, too. It was not too crowded with people on the day we went, and only a few people were soaking in the summer sun, without a blanket - right on the grass. It was kept pretty clean, and seeing so many of the mature shade trees gave us much happiness.
A great place to visit spend time and relax or just to walk through. Amazing trees, shrubs and flowers borders interlinked with a network of paths and most suitable for any weather. Good signage telling what's what and where including historical info or detail about the flora or fauna. At least two delightful coffee shops also to sit and enjoy.
A lovely parc with lots of trees to rest in the shade by hot summer days. Lots of nice stuff such as musical installments, the remains of a friar, or a stone circle. The vast green areas are perfect for picnics, or for dogs and children!
Lovely well maintained park. Very pleasant to travel through, with plenty of paths that were kept clear and were through beautiful leafy avenues under all the old trees. I didn't see any rubbish around either so a very pleasant journey through the park.
Absolutely stunning spot in the city centre joined onto the castle. Gets very busy during hot days but there's so much to explore and can always manage to find a spot big enough to play some ball games with friends.
