Brilliant for a family trip. Wasn't too busy, safe and chilled. Plenty for kids to do and snacks and toys were very reasonably priced. So nice to see animals well looked after too!
This farm experience is fantastic fun. My 6 and 3 year olds had a great time (in spite of the horrible weather). We fed the animals, played indoor games, had a go at archery, enjoyed a craft and reading session on combine harvesters, visited the new baby pigs and enjoyed jumping on the hay bales in the field. There were a huge variety of games to play indoors and outside and they were really educational about the food we eat. I highly recommend this for young children! I also learnt a lot about moisture in harvested grain!
We had a fantastic day at Byres Farm with our almost 3 year old and friends with their 2 & 1/2 year old. The little ones loved seeing and feeding the animals. There's several play areas and lots of different toys. The archery was a hit with the big kids to! The owner was really welcoming and the coffee and 'fine pieces' were fab! We'll definitely be back for another visit.
Lovely day out for the family and lots to do! Feeding the goats was a big hit with my little ones, cute little self service cafe you can get coffee and juice, just wish we knew to bring a picnic but they enjoyed the ice cream Available and will definitely be back (with a picnic)
Lovely farm. Loads to do for the kids such as ride on tractors, pirate ship sand pit, mud kitchen, lots of dressing up/ role play shops. Archery, picture opportunities. Also lots of educational opportunities. Variety of farm animals and we got to feed the goats by hand. Bring your own lunch. Does have a little honesty tuck shop with coffee machine and ice cream. Lovely lovely farm would recommend especially for younger children.
We had a lovely trip to Byres to celebrate our 4 year old's birthday at Dinosaur week. We took both sets of grandparents along with our family of 5 and everyone loved what Byres had to offer. There is so much for the kids to do, we stayed for almost 6 hours and didn't get around to everything. Particular highlights included feeding the animals, the play village and the freedom the kids had. We enjoyed our picnic in the enclosed play area where the children were able to play between mouthfuls. Delicious coffee and sweet treats from the shop prepared us for a circular walk. Byres is a beautiful spot, we were made to feel very welcome and are already planning our return visit.
