CONKERS is a unique visitor attraction nestled in the heart of the National Forest. The sprawling 120-acre site is home to a host of exciting activities for all ages. Explore the treetop walkway, get lost in the enchanted forest, and brave the high ropes course. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, take a stroll through the stunning grounds, check out the 4D Cinema, or hop on the Conkachoo Train. There's even an indoor play area for younger visitors. With plenty of food and drink options available, CONKERS is the perfect day out for families, couples, and friends alike.
Although a little run down and neglected in certain areas, all in all, this is a great place for families. The little train that takes you from one side to the other is quaint. There are so many outdoor activity stations you can easily fill a day. Admission prices are fair. The 4d cinema is poor. The film was definitely not 4d and it was a Christmas film, played in July! The food was ok but take drinks as water alone was PS2.40 a bottle. The jacket potato and rice bowl (served on a plate) were good value.
We visited Conker's mid April 2024 on a Saturday, and what a fabulous day out it was with memories made. Our five year old had a fantastic day despite the typical British weather, all you have to do is dress accordingly for being outdoors and take a little towel. There is so much space and different activities that this helps reduce the density of people gathering. The world of adventure and discovery was interactive and educational, whilst incorporating a play area, slide and 4D cinema. The high and low ropes, again whilst looking a little tired served the purpose and our five year old and husband had an awesome time with the staff being great. There are a number of play parks scattered around, some wonderful walks and quirky features when walking in nature like the "troll bridge" and fairy houses. The train ride is a nice feature and attraction linking to a larger play park, forest walk, an indoor soft play and cafe. The Explorers rest food was good, especially the rice bowl. As with some tourist attractions currently, some areas can look tired and in need of a refresh and good clean, but we know that requires staff and money. Proportionally for the money, a great day out being outdoors, getting those steps in.
Very enjoyable day out. Took my young nieces for a day out and they both loved their time here. Plenty of outdoor activities, with activity trails, outdoor and indoor play areas and also 4d cinema included in the price. Additional cost for some things, such as PS10 for 30 mins on the swan pedalo, which has room for four. Indoor cafe available and free parking.
We came yesterday with PODS group and honestly it was amazin! We started off at the 4d cinema then the park for dinner. The splash pad was a massive hit! We went to explore the sensory trail which was amazin for my little boy who has autism! He loved it! We then went on the activity trail which wore all the kids out! They had so much fun! We had a trip on the train to the other park too (train staff were lovely and accommodating with saving us seats whilst I sorted pushchair etc) We had a play & an ice cream and then had a walk back to the discovery centre. Staff at the main desk were so helpful and would quite happily explain as much as needed without feeling rushed. We booked on the Swan pedalos which was so much fun for the kids! The staff were great with letting us swap around seats to give everyone a chance to pedal and steer. We saw a heron which my kids were so excited about. We then went inside to the play area and discovery bit which my kids loved! They didn't want to leave! They had so much fun learning about animals and nature etc. To end the day we went to the high ropes. My 3 were nervous but the staff on the ropes are really amazin and supportive! They were so accommodating towards my little boy who was gettin worked up about waitin and they really supported him which I was so grateful for. They even sent an instructor around with him to help. Honestly couldn't of asked for a better day!
Lovely outdoor park plenty to keep my grandchildren busy! Indoor exhibits are tired and in need of refurbishing... however this didn't impact our enjoyment. Children loved the adventure trails and the train ride.
This place has improved a lot over the years. There are a few things that are still the same such as the train ride but the management have made some really good improvements the last 15 years. There is a soft play featured around mini beasts as you enter the building and another one on the other side (part of the education centre). The smaller one is more suited to under 5s and the main one near the entrance is better for older children as there are lots of tunnels; ropes and dark slides!! There are two cafes and a train ride that connects both areas. We attended when there were craft activities taking place which my daughter loved. She also enjoyed the wobbly bridges! In total there were 2 main outdoor play areas. The newer one near the main entrance also included a splash pad for warmer weather. In addition to all of this there are activity trails to attempt; high and low ropes at an additional fee; a sensory trail and a labyrinth. We did not have enough time to explore the forest area and some of the activities on the trail. There is a short cinema show in 4D and a really good exhibition near the main entrance. Parking is free! I would definitely recommend this place.
