Plaza & event space featuring sculptures of characters from "The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe."
What a great little park! It was clean, well maintained, and felt very safe. As a lover of the LW&W book series I was thrilled to see spark dedicated to it and CS Lewis. It took us a few minutes to find CS and the wardrobe, since it is set apart from the other statues. For those interested, it is in front of the cute little library there. The rest of them are more in the park proper. There is also a Nero Cafe right there as well, which is great!
The sculptures are certainly impressive. The setting in and around the square is less so. For such an iconic work of fiction and a celebrated author I do believe they can put a bit more greenery and floral vegetation in and around the square. Beyond the sculptures it's really just concrete nothingness.
Shame it was pouring it with rain on the day we visited. This is a lovely square which takes you straight into Narnia. There are about 7 sculptures of characters from the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as well as one of CS Lewis the searcher
Public park, easy to access. This was one of my must-see locations. Beautiful sculptures from the Chronicles of Narnia. Only a few others in the park when I was there. Nice, quiet location.
Not entirely sure this was worth the walk from the city centre. I thought it was more of a park and green space but it's more concrete. The sculptures were interesting. Did not get a chance to pop into the visitor centre.
The square features seven bronze sculptures from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, including Aslan, the White Witch, and Mr Tumnus. C.S. Lewis Square is located in East Belfast beside the EastSide Visitor Centre. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So if you are a fan of classic literature, C.S. Lewis Square should be one of the best things to do in Belfast for you! There's a free car parking and you can leave your car there and walk around. We were looking for Aunt's Sandra Candy's factory and discover Narnia's trail.
