A picturesque coastal village on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, known for its stunning beach, scenic coastal walks, and historic 19th-century cable station that once connected the island to the mainland via a telegraph cable.
A breath-taking bay; its a couple of miles walk in to reach the bay, if you park down by the strand and walk back up the road you came in on, and turn right, you follow the stone track, pass a couple of cottages. As you arrive at Cable Bay, you will have come up over some dunes to see the most remarkable sight, azure blue crystal clear water lapping up to a perfect sheltered beach of soft sand. Its also a fantastic circular walk (about 5 miles) if you carry on clockwise, coming back down around the coastal path, eventually to the car parking spot I have visited six times and only ever seen other people on it once (a group of 4, blooming busy!)
Plenty of drift wood about, little stream is drinkable after treatment
A fabulous, sheltered Bay overlooking Jura. A great walk in too - 45 minutes at most.
Stunning white sandy beach with very sheltered and safe swimming but pretty much only accessible by boat unless you are a guest at Balerominmhor farmhouse (Colonsay Holidays).
