A scenic valley in the Peak District National Park, Cam Long Down offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and is a popular spot for hiking and walking. The valley is surrounded by rolling hills and is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, foxes, and birds. On a clear day, visitors can see for miles in every direction, taking in the stunning vistas of the Peak District. The area is also steeped in history, with evidence of ancient settlements and mining activities scattered throughout the valley.
Amazing views. Part of the Cotswold Path. Small Car Park at bottom of Cam Peak. Keep to the left of Cam Peak and walk up the wide path or through the high sided softer path on the left, they both end up in the same place. Please please take your rubbish and dog Pooh bags home/to a bin! Plastic does not rot so well!!
Very very scenic country views! Free parking. Quite steep roots. Lovely afternoon out though the routes could be a little more clearly signposted.
Free but very small car park. The route to the top of Cam Peak is muddy and slippery (in December), but worth it for the views. I carried along the Cotswold way heading North. The paths are very undulating to say the least, but, the countryside is worth it.
Beautiful walk, with astonishing views over gloucestershire
One of my favourite local spots wonderful views and wildlife through the year and whatever the weather
Wet and windy but amazing views. Worth re-visiting in better weather.
