Before I begin this 5 star review, please be very aware that Camel Creek is not a normal theme park. If you are expecting adrenaline on a level with Chessington, Thorpe Park or Alton Towers then it is probably best to give this park a miss. However, what this theme park does brilliantly is being a great introductory theme park for children with rides that even my 5 and 3 year old daughters were allowed to do on their own without parents! Some were close enough together and centralised that you could probably get away with sitting with a coffee and letting the children go from ride to ride, queue independently and then ride all within very clear sight. That said, as this was our first visit, we went to every ride with the children. The park has a wide array of rides ranging from teacups to a mini log flume to mini rollercoasters, vertical drops, giant slides and an 'adult sized' log flume (take spare clothes or waterproofs). There really is something for everyone as long as you take into account my opening remarks. If you are a hardened thrill seeker then there really is nothing for you!! Queues were largely non-existent and the longest we encountered was about 10 minutes which was great as the children could cope with this waiting time. In addition to rides, there are a good number of adventure playgrounds, a 5D simulator and soft play areas. There is also a sensory outdoor area to explore, animals to visit including meerkats and reptiles and other areas to venture to as well. In truth, there is too much to fully do within 1 day and luckily the ticket comes with a 7 day return (just remember to sign up for this before you leave the site). The only slight issue I could try to have with the park is the fact that lots of it does look very dated. For example, many of the rides could do with a lick of paint, the signage could do with being renewed as much has faded and some of the fencing is not in the best state. That said, these are totally cosmetic issues and this would not stop my family visiting again - we intend to go back in two days time!!
Great place for a family day out. Price is very reasonable for what you get compared to other places. Lots of rides for kids. Most aimed at 92cm plus but there was a couple for younger kids also. Couple of playgrounds which were good quality. A big water slide as well as other slides, couple of coasters and more. Places to eat on site. We had a good time.
Took my children here with some friends. Although from Cornwall this was my 1st visit. It won't be my last. There was so much to do that it was definitely worth the money and booking online is a bonus. My 11 year old's favourite ride was the log flume. Warning you get extremely wet. My 4 year old's favourite was the horse ride. It was Kidsfest when we visited which meant lots of additional fun to be had - including a foam party. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
Had a great time at the toddler session! Good value for a day out. Staff were really friendly and my son had a fab time. Could the soft play toilets please have stools (so the kids can wash their hands) and hooks on the doors please! Will come back and visit soon for the rides! X
Great day out with the family here, something for everyone rides for all ages, lots of animals to see and pet, the stable was a hit seeing all the ponys, weather was excellent, ques for rides were short. They also offer a free return within 7 days, ask at the gift shop on the way out. Our girls intend to take full advantage of the offer.
**Camel Creek Family Adventure Park - A Day to Remember! ** Hey everyone! Just had the most amazing day out at Camel Creek Family Adventure Park with the whole family - that's four adults and two little ones (ages 3 and 6). I can't recommend this place enough, especially with their 7-day unlimited return pass. Honestly, it's a no-brainer if you're in the area! We kicked off our day with **Thunder Falls**, which quickly became our family favourite. We ended up going on it multiple times - just remember to bring spare clothes because you will get soaked! Totally worth it though, we all had a blast. Next up was **The Dragon roller coaster**, and of course, we all hopped on that one together. It was a hit with everyone! Then we ventured into **Merlin's Magical Playground**, which was just magical for the kids - they were in their element. We couldn't resist a bit of friendly competition, so we all had a go at **Shipwreck Shores Adventure Golf**. It was such good fun, and the kids loved it! After that, me and River checked out Cornwall's only 5D Simulator Theatre. He's not quite tall enough for the big rides yet, but he was absolutely mesmerised by the 3D viewing. Meanwhile, Bodhi, Grant, and Grandad tackled the 5D viewing for the taller ones - they were buzzing after that! The **Clown Coaster** was a bit of a let-down for the kids as it felt slow compared to the thrilling Morgawr, which was our absolute favourite roller coaster. We all agreed it was the best ride of the day! We took a break at **Pets Corner**, and let me tell you, it was so clean and well-kept - no unpleasant smells! The animals were adorable and made for a lovely pit stop. The **Reptile House** was another highlight, showcasing some amazing creatures in an equally clean environment. We started our day with **Raging Rivers**, and honestly, we could have just kept going on that one! The excitement didn't stop there; **Swampy's Drop** was a giggle, especially for me and the kids - definitely made our stomachs do a little flip in the best possible way! We also enjoyed the **Wave Rider**, which was a great way to cool off. Lunchtime was at **The Playhouse**, where we enjoyed some reasonably priced food that actually tasted good! The drop slide was a massive hit with everyone, too. If you're looking for a fun-packed family day out, Camel Creek is where it's at. With loads of new attractions for 2024 and the buzzing atmosphere of Kids Fest until the end of August, there's never a dull moment. We were planning to go back tonight, but poor River hasn't been well. Fingers crossed he's better soon so we can squeeze in another visit before heading home! All in all, Camel Creek Family Adventure Park is an absolute gem in Cornwall. Get your family and friends together and make a day of it--you won't regret it! #cornwall
