The Canadian Museum of Flight is a great "family day out", inspiring in young people a passion for aviation and for science and technology. We tell stories of our rich Canadian aviation history, stories people want to hear and stories people want told. Our Museum is a very "hands-on" facility. Many of our aircraft can be touched; children can feel that aircraft made not only from aluminum, but also from wood and fabric. Weather permitting, several aircraft are open for sitting and dreaming by children (of all ages). Photo op! The Museum is located at Langley Airport. Our hangar is packed with interesting displays and models, fascinating memorabilia and more. The Gift Shop has something for every aviation enthusiast, and for every budget.
This museum was absolutely wonderful! There were so many different types of planes and plenty of educational resources available throughout. The interactive displays and multimedia presentations make learning about the exhibits both fun and informative. The museum also offers guided tours and which I found to be enriching and worthwhile.
I recently visited the Canadian Flight Museum in Langley, BC, and it was an interesting and fun experience. Despite being outdated, which is understandable given its likely lack of government funding, the museum offers a fascinating glimpse into aviation history. The highlight for me was seeing the army and war aircraft up close. It was incredible to learn about the different types of planes and their historical significance. Overall, the Canadian Flight Museum is a great spot for aviation enthusiasts and anyone interested in military history. It's a unique and educational experience that's definitely worth a visit!
Small museum with a variety of exhibits for planes and history of aviation. We went for Father's Day so only paid for two adults ($12 x 2) with dad going in for free. Wished it wasn't raining so that we can go sit in the planes so that we can feel what it's like, but unfortunately it was raining and none of the seats for the plane were open. There's a lot of info packed into the small museum. There was also a sale of model airplanes that was specifically for that weekend.
Nice little museum with a lot of legacy planes on display with friendly staff and a small gift shop. I visited with my wife and kids on BC Family Day. It was busy but not very crowded. There were volunteers who graciously assisted in parking. They have a good collection of planes in the small space they have. You can even enter into some planes and sit in cockpit of some. It's right next to the Langley regional airport. So, you can see planes landing and taking off from close proximity. Kids had a good time participating in activities like making flying goggles, getting a temp plane/helicopter tattoos and making/flying paper airplanes. If you have young kids whom you want to introduce to airplanes, definitely recommend to visit.
Fantastic museum. Many aircrafts and exhibits relating to Canadian Aviation and its history. Highly recommended. And check the website for Canada Day and Remembrance Day: to see a few of ~100 years old planes flying! Kudos to the Volunteers who are very much needed to keep this museum operating. Appreciated.
Had great exhibits and planes to enter and view within. The museum had a great little gift shop aswell. I would like to see maybe a few more things, but overall amazing.
