A 19th-century tidal mill situated on the north bank of the Carew River in Pembrokeshire, Wales, featuring a large stone-built structure with a prominent chimney and a series of arches along its frontage, surrounded by a tranquil rural setting and offering insight into the region's industrial heritage.
To the kind person who crocheted with love, we found 3 of your gifts on the branches on the walk around Carew Castle today, it did make us smile and the red dragon has a new home
Extremely interesting tidal mill. Not working but commentary on each floor to explain how it was used. It is in a beautiful setting and paid admission to the castle allows you into the mill for free. There is a gift shop within the mill. We walked from the castle to the mill and completed the recommended circular walk back to the castle which gave great views of both across the river.
Seen some egrets, grey heron there are kingfisher but didn't see old castle and Mill people fishing for crabs no kayaking or canoeing. Enjoy
Lovely little museum with audio tour Gorgeous view of the castle Some interactive activities inside Not sure whether it's dog-friendly or not as we didn't bring ours but saw dogs outside it Friendly staff
Brilliant place to show the kids and teach them how life used to be like....was loads to see...staff where lovely and the cafe outside the mill was nice to chill and relax and take in the view of the castle
Great place to take children to explore the castle and the old mill. I love taking Poppy my dachshund for a walk down to the mill, it's shaded and accessible for my mobility scooter.
