Large park with woodland, a walled garden and hedge maze, walking trails and coastline, plus a cafe.
Like I mentioned in the caravan park review the long blonde haired guy at the visitor center was awful. The play park is great. My little girl loved everything there was to offer. There is a great selection of activities here. The cafe was decent with a good selection of things to buy and the staff here were warm and friendly
Our church hired the private bbq area for a Sunday afternoon and it was perfect for young, old and everyone in between (plus dogs!) Great area next to the fun park and a large open green for football etc.
You could stop here along the coastal route. In hindsight save PS4 and park in the free car park at the bay at the bottom. PS1 a go on the remote control trucks and boats was worth it. The maze is ok. The walled garden alright. The cafe is run down. This place is crying out for some bike trails.
Very convenient for the ferry at Larne. A lovely site with a park and fine views of the coast. Good facilities on site, but gets busy at the weekend. Book well in advance. The gated entry can be confusing. I needed help from the excellent staff, but was ok after the first attempt.
Haven't been in a while, definitely not as good. Main Cafe not open and just pre cooked/prepared food in the small cafe near the playground microwaved while you wait . Bring food would be my advice. Looking a bit neglected also. Won't be in a rush back.
Great place for the kids. The BBQ area is second to none with a covered area. I live the maze and there is very good parking.
