Wow, wow, wow. I am impressed with the beauty and style. A lot to see and if you would like to see everything my advice is at 10 am. We spent there 6 hours. Beautiful gardens, good areas for kids, interesting history. No more words, just visit this place.
It's a beautiful house and the grounds are fantastic. There's a bit of everything lake, woodland, meadow and pond. I particularly liked the focus on attracting more wildlife. It's good value at PS65 for a family of 4 as we spent the whole day there. There's a good adventure playground for children.
We spent a lovely afternoon exploring the house and gardens. The house is beautiful and amazingly still a work in progress. The staff were very friendly and helpful to our mobility needs. The disabled access is great. The Gardens are extremely well kept. We were able to get around the grounds thanks to the Train. Which is frequent.
Fantastic location for a day out with the family. There's a large outside play area for kids, a cafe by one of the lakes, a restaurant and gift shop by the garden, apart from the house itself which is the main attraction. You have the option to purchase tickets just for the garden or house+garden.
if you only go out once .. go to castle Howard. we all thought wow wow. stunning place little train that goes round the estate. history so fascinating and the lake rides are so interesting. we will be back I would go every day if I lived nearer. also go to the farm shop we stocked up and had a great barbecue that evening
Attending the silent disco at Castle Howard was an unforgettable experience! The event was perfectly organised, allowing us to dance the night away surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the castle's grounds. The weather was on our side, which made the evening even more magical. The combination of great music, a lively crowd, and stunning scenery created an atmosphere that was both energetic and serene. It was a unique and enjoyable way to spend an evening, and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for something different and fun, the silent disco at Castle Howard is a must-try!
