Spent a lovely few hours with the family here today. Lovely walks and things to see. The garden and area are very well maintained. Castle is just like any other Scottish castle ruins. There is a really good cafe on site.
Had a lovely visit today. Despite the rain we had a lovely walk around the grounds, following the map was easy. Our little boy had fun navigating the grounds especially through the walled garden. Tearoom was lovely and there was a great shop. Definitely recommend a visit.
Close to Glenwhan Gardens and do-able in a day. A good tea room at the entry point. The romantic castle ruins at the start are fenced off. Adjacent are the walled gardens which in late June were just gorgeous. Very well kept. The woodland walks provide sunny and shady places to stroll and admire the 20 or so Champion trees. These walkways lead down to a tremendous view as the nearby Lochinch castle starts to arise on the horizon. Just lovely.
Lovely place. It's very vast. You can easily spend and entire day here. Dogs need to be kept on a lead whilst there
Beautiful gardens! Lovely walks, stunning location. Lots to see. Great cakes too!
