Very good farming musium. This musium also has a Merlin engine out of a Hurricane fighter which crashed nearby. Pilot was featured in the great escape. I was a little disappointed that there was a sad lack of information on the slate industry upon which Castlehill iss most famous for
Lovely piece of history.
A volunteer helped us around and showed us a lot of cool stuff. We saw a real life Merlin Engine from a Lancaster Bomber!
Arrived in late afternoon but was still warmly welcomed in and had some great historical information in the short amount of time I got to spend there. Free entry.
Open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 2pm to 4pm. Outside is a large free parking area where motorhomes can stay overnight. Also interpretive trails from the parking that show the history of the flagstone industry that once thrived here.
