Great, stopped here for lunch as I was passing through on my bike. Lovely simple menu, all the essential, soup, sandwiches, toasties and a huge selection of home baking. Well worth a visit. And the staff were all great too.
Have seen several bands here and also attended talks, used the brilliantly stocked gift shop and eaten in the cafe. The Catstrand is a fabulous community hub and also a great intimate venue with a lovely vibe - highly recommended!
Really welcome pit stop. Lovely coffee and great looking cakes. Sat in garden. Really relaxed and service was lovely too. Most unexpected cafe stop given remote location.
We've been visiting CatStrand for a couple of years now. We've seen some great bands here, such as Blue Giant Orkestar and Henge, and various others. It's an excellent venue for live music - for some gigs the seats are folded away and there's room for dancing. For others, it's seated. Also have attended the Burns Night Supper which was a really good night out with live music. And all that great stuff, before even mentioning the cafe and the best scones I've had, ever (other cakes are available...). Then there are all the million-and-one other things that CatStrand organises and runs and develops, it is a really big asset to the community, thank you CatStrand :-)
& there's the gift shop, cafetiere and scenic spot vibe going on.....Great place to chill when you're here & excellent venue for seminars.
Wonderful cafe with home cooked food. Lovely artwork too. Dog friendly. If we are in the area we always pop in. Friendly staff
