Catton Park is a beautiful 70 acre country park on the northern outskirts of Norwich and is open for all to enjoy at any time. It has special significance as it was the first commission of Humphry Repton as a landscape gardener. You can wander through the open wild flower meadow or you can explore the woodland with its many interesting trees and wood sculptures. There are footpaths through the woods and across the park; most of which are accessible by wheelchairs and push-chairs.
Great open area with plenty of walks down trails! There are lots of other dogs around, on and off leads. It's just something to be mindful of.
I appreciate this beautiful place, there is a trail to find carved statues, I've found the majority. You also have the woodland to walk through to, a few different entrances.
The air was filled with scent of wildflowers and distant laughter of children, its always good visiting this place
Great place to unwind... early morning walks are a great way to start the day. Getting a bit boggy in places when it rains. Keep your eye out for the wooden carvings dotted around. Occasionally spoilt by out of control owners and their dogs. Evening walks in the summer sunshine are one of the highlights of a working week. Keep an eye out for all the carved wooden totems dotted around the park.
Nice big open space for a dog walk, leisure walk, jog - park run takes place here. Very popular with dog walkers so not great for a quiet walk. Lots of pathways to follow, some wooded areas. Free small car park out front but also parking available close by I.e near recreation ground. Nice wooden sculptures dotted about. No dogs in picnic area so it's fenced.
Great place for dog walking and exercises, big open fields and woodland lots of local runs on Saturdays and Sundays. Now has a mobile coffee van on site from Thursday to Sundays it's very popular and inexpensive, the park also has fun fairs and circus visits occasionally and every 5th November a huge firework display.the park also has a lodge which you can hire for events. The photos are of the beautiful carvings that are around the park
