Our aim is to promote play and provide for the play needs of children in Crawley. We have three free and open access adventure playgrounds across the town. They provide an environment for children to meet, play and learn. The sites are not staffed.
Engaging and well laid out as there are different play areas and challenges for different ages. Was a bit muddy when we visited but then again that's a hit with young ones. Surrounded by lovely blooms and a wild rabbit made a surprise appearance. Overall loved this playground but would like toilet facilities as we had to change a little one.
Absolute dive. I haven't been here for years and took the kids on the first day of the summer holidays. The tuck shop was closed (hopefully for a refurb), rubbish everywhere in both parks, climbing area in the middle of the field is closed off, window smashed on one of the big climbing frames. Really run down. Might be less depressing on a sunnier day...
We had a great time. My 3 years old really enjoyed it. It was super quiet for a sunny Sunday. Plenty of space for picnic. Adventure park is cute not very big but it's more than enough. Free parking area nearby.
Summer 2022 Emptiest park ever been to during the summer holidays. Wooden frames and slides underneath trees so in shade all day. I say 5 years plus. Sandpit, swings, slide. 2 toliets. Would be great if it had a splash area as well.
Visited here today with my 4yr son. Upon arrival there was a large free car park! There is a normal park with slides and swings and markings on the ground like hop scotch. We then noticed there was another park to play in opposite it behind some trees etc. There is 3 large wooden climbing frames for older children (see pictures), a large sand pit, swings and another mound to climb and slide. The large frames are all in the shade but sand pit is not along with swings. My son really enjoyed the climbing but we did see 2 other children have horrible accidents falling from the frames so please take care. A handful of picnic benches but take a rug if you want the shade. Would definitely return for a play.
I've never been more appalled at the state of the portaloos at this playground. Never seen anything like it. Until council provides clean toilet facilities here this is not a good place to take kids.
