A self funded, volunteer led charity providing a beautiful waterway amenity for all. Walk the towpath, admire the scenery, enjoy the wildlife... to uplift your soul. Waterside cafe, boat trips, canoe, SUP and angling licenses on sale.
Lovely trip down the canal which took 75mins as a round trip. Informative crew and you can sit up with the captain outside if you want, although take it in turns. PS8 person is just the right cost i think. Nice cafe, gift shop and history room at the Chichester end of the canal.
We have both walked and cycled the towpath but travelling on the barge was an entirely different experience. The crew were very knowledgeable and kept us amused with their anecdotes and the information about the canals history was very interesting.
Historic canal centre explaining canal history, pub and cafe at head of the canal. (Toilet also available!) Nice walk along g the canal with signage explaining things along the way. Lovely relaxing walk
Went for a bank holiday treat for us and the kids. I'm rubbish at rowing. However, this didn't stop the fun! Really worth while for money and we made a day of the local area.
We hired a row boat for 2 hour and took a picnic with us. There are plenty of tasty options in the cafe if you wanted to pick it up there. Beautiful views of the old canal from the water, staff all very kind and helpful
Chichester Priory Rotary Club annual DragonBoat Event 2024 raising funds for local charities-such a fun day for all !!
