Stunning glass work a fun experience. Really enjoyed the work on the ceiling and the contrast of the various sizes that were made. You can tell the artist took their time and effort to make this a dreamy moment. I'm glad we got to see this firsthand and enjoy the work. Thank you for an amazing time
Hands down one of the BEST MUSEUMS IN THE WORLD!!! (I still have many to visit.....but I'm saying it!!!) The glassblowing and installations are incredible by themselves, then they configure them intertwined beautifully between the flowers, trees and bushes!!! I almost don't wanna post pictures to ruin anything for fellow travelers and art enthusiasts however the pictures can't do the experience justice. Feeling the cool summer breeze with a sprinkle of rain, party cloudy with a sun peaking through the sky and smelling the flowers and seeing all the colors and shapes! Highlight of my trip!!! I think even people unfamiliar with the arts would appreciate or enjoy many aspects of this museum and exhibits. We decided to go first thing on a Tuesday morning and it got busy by the time we were leaving. I would recommend going early so you have more time for yourself enjoying and absorbing the artwork! We did a city pass in Seattle, many more in other cities like Chicago and Atlanta etc. This was the only one that requires reservations at many of the available attractions beforehand. So plan ahead, depending on how busy and what times you are traveling will affect whether or not they will help you book on the spot and then let you in... If you are not staying directly next to the Seattle center like we did but are downtown, take the Monorail directly into the gardens and other site seeing attractions.
The Museum of Glass in Seattle is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone interested in art, design, or simply looking for a unique experience. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the stunning displays and the sheer creativity on show. The exhibitions are incredibly diverse, showcasing a wide range of glass art--from intricate sculptures to vibrant installations. Each piece tells a story, and it's fascinating to see how artists manipulate such a fragile medium into something so expressive and powerful.
The Chihuly garden and glass museum is absolutely spectacular! Bundle it with the Space Needle ticket and you save a few dollars. As you walk through, one room is more incredible than the next. You will be in awe! The colors and shapes are breathtaking! When you're done, you'll want to start all over again. Leave time for the running videos at the end of the museum. They are very interesting!
The glass made artifacts display a myriad of colors that are almost hypnotizing. The shapes and structure of the sculptures are also intriguing. Glass as a medium is definitely captivating. We definitely enjoyed our stroll through the museum and the garden reading about different pieces and era. However, the museum is not large and we finished through the exhibition in less than hour. The price seemed steep for the experience but still an enjoyable experience just below the Space Needle.
Stunning exhibit of his art. Really truly loved it! However for someone coming from another country you should be aware that cash isn't acceptable to pay for either tickets or items in the shop.
