A 19th-century industrial relic, the Chimney Bank is a towering 30-meter-tall brick chimney situated on the banks of the River Tyne in Gateshead, northeast England. Built in 1830, it was originally part of the Hawks Williamson's locomotive works, but now stands alone as a testament to the region's industrial heritage.
Always a nice walk with daughters dog. Weather was good to. Also saw a lot of the old mines and railway.
If you like moorland and heathland, it's definitely worth a visit. Beautiful little villages and great motifs for photographers.
Outstanding long range views of moors and valley. Great walking. Cool on a hot day. 1-3 road a test for the brakes!
One of our favourite walks
My grandson's absolutely loved this place, but Nannan Badger couldn't keep up with them.
Great place to sit back and watch the world go by, mind the wind though.
